Family Ministry

Sunday School

Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM, kids at First Assembly particpate in age appropriate classes that purpose to train kids in faith and knowledge of the Bible. Our caring teachers connect with students in a small group setting to make Bible stories and concepts relavent to children's lives.

Alive Kids' Church

Every Sunday morning at 10:45 AM kids can experience the power and presence of God in a church service designed for them. Children's Pastor Twana Jensen and the Children's ministry team employ a variety of methods to teach and disciple little ones, including games, puppets, live characters, contests, object lessons, and more.

Wednesday Night Kids Ministries

A free dinner for kids is served Wednesday nights at 5:30 PM in the gym. At 7 PM, Kids can enjoy relationship building opportunities and focused discipleship with an emphasis on teaching children to communicate with God and live their purpose.

Coming Soon: Plans are in the works to implement faith based clubs on Wednesday night for boys and girls, with an emphasis on men mentoring boys and women mentoring girls in the faith!

Tots and Tweens

During Kids Services, activities and events, we often pull out certain ages of kids for on-level learning and ministry. Tots, geared for ages 3-Kindergarten, is specifically designed to impress the love of God on our littles.

Tweens, for ages 9-12, is designed to take older kids deeper into their relationship with God, prepare them for their transition to Alive Youth, and plug them into ministry.

Loving volunteers are excited to represent Jesus to our littlest church goers. The nursery is open to kids ages 0-3 years old. Kids will experience a high quality of care, hear Bible stories and songs, and have a ton of fun. Currently, nursery care is open Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

Special Events

Throughout the year, kids have opportunities to participate in fun, safe, special events. These include theme nights/lock ins, Kids In Ministry opportunites such as kids choir and plays, and summer camps.

One Sunday morning each month, kids have an opportunity to develop a heart for the world through Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge! Leaders Kenny and Becky Jordan teach kids about sharing Jesus world wide and empower them to give money to reach others around the globe!
